Privacy policy

Paddlin is club-night software for racquet-sport clubs, being built in Queensland. Right now the only personal information we collect is what you give us when you register interest on this site. This policy explains what that is, why we want it, where it's kept and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
Paddlin is being built by Evatis (ABN 26 478 025 049), on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Evatis collects and holds the details on our interest list. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@getpaddlin.app.
What we collect
When you register interest, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your club's name, state or territory, and suburb (if you give it)
- the time you signed up, and that you ticked the box agreeing to one launch email
We don't use cookies, tracking pixels or analytics scripts, and this site loads nothing from anyone else. Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard request logs (including your IP address and browser details) to keep the site running and secure. Those logs are deleted after 90 days.
Why we collect it
- To send you one email when Paddlin launches. That's the only email you'll get from the list.
- To see which clubs and areas are interested, so we know where to start.
We won't use your details for anything else, and we won't add you to any other mailing list. The launch email will tell you how to have your details removed.
Where it's kept
Your sign-up details are stored with Amazon Web Services in its Sydney region, encrypted, and stay in Australia. When someone signs up, we get a short notification with the club's name and state only, never your name or email address.
If you email us at hello@getpaddlin.app, your message is forwarded to our mailbox, which is provided by Google and may be stored outside Australia.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We never sell or rent your details, and we don't share them with other businesses. The one exception is planned: before Paddlin launches, it will move from Evatis to its own company (Paddlin Pty Ltd, once it's formed). When that happens, the interest list passes to that company for the sole purpose of sending the launch email, under the same promises as this policy, and the launch email will come from that company. We may also have to disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep the interest list until 12 months after the launch email is sent, then delete it. If you ask us to remove your details before then, we'll delete them from the list straight away; our backups keep deleted entries for up to 35 days, then they're gone.
Your choices
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted at any time. Email hello@getpaddlin.app from the address you signed up with, and we'll reply within 30 days. You don't have to register interest to use this site.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please email hello@getpaddlin.app first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. We won't use details we already hold in a new way without asking you first.
